We hold an Annual Short Story Competition with a First Prize of 400
Second & Third Prizes of 50


FLASH FICTION Competition
First Prize 150



There will also be several Highly Commended places in both competitions.

All these stories winning will be placed on the website. Entry into the competition will be assumed to give tacit agreement to this, unless we are asked explicitly not to do so.

Closing date for both competitions is August 31st 2016
Due to some technical issues with the submission pages we have extended the deadline while we resolve the issues.

Please read the rules carefully before you submit your stories.

ON-LINE SUBMISSIONS

Please click on the relevant link to enter using Paypal or Credit/Debit Card facilities; Once your payment details are entered and the transaction complete click on the Return to HISSAC link and you will be directed to the submissions page where you can upload your story\stories

If you add several options to your cart (for example one short story and one flash fiction) and, after submitting one you are not given the option to submit the other, then please send your entry/entries as attachments or in the body of the email to
