HISSAC Highlands and Islands Short Story Association and Writing Competition

2013

2013

This year's winning stories were a very creative and unusual bunch.
Amongst our top-listers we have a story in the form of a job application, a man who believes he is turning into a tiger, an almost documentary style in-the-life-of-a-pub, and of course our winning story, which has managed to build snatches of contemporary dialogue and a series of 'what ifs' into a brilliant and darkly escalating story that exemplifies its time and place to a tee.
