HISSAC is the Highland & Islands Short Story Association, which seeks to lend support to writes and has members from all over the world;
Entrants need have no connection whatsoever to Scotland & we actively encourage writers to enter, no matter where they live
Chairman of judges is novelist & 2006 Scotsman/Orange Short Story Winner 2006, Clio Gray
First prize £300, 2nd & 3rd prizes of £50
Theme is open; we like unusual, but no stories for children, please.
